WINTER SCHOOL 2021 HAS ENDED.
We’re so excited to kick off Winter School on Tuesday, January 19th 2021. Prospective and current students can watch this video overview from Ross to hear more about this special live, online learning opportunity. We have also compiled FAQs for your review. If you have additional questions, you can contact us.
Warrior Pro Program
Once every 18 months to two years, Ross records a new version of his Day Trading Course. This course is our core curriculum for the Warrior Pro education, which students typically take on demand. While we recently updated the classes this summer, we know many people are stuck at home with some extra time on their hands and wanting to kick off their day trading education for 2021.
So, Winter School is a special event for our Warrior Pro students to experience these classes being taught live, online, with Ross. You can view the current syllabus for reference on the various chapters. Anyone with an active Pro membership during the Winter School period will be able to attend and have access to all of the standard Pro membership features as well (including the standard on-demand classes).
Ross begins broadcasting his pre-market commentary, watch list, and trading around 8:45 am Eastern time each day, Monday – Friday. After trading wraps up, Ross will do his recap and then begin teaching for Winter School.
Because each day the market provides different opportunities, we cannot provide an exact start time for the teaching each day as it will depend on what time trading and the recap conclude. We expect that many days, the classes will begin around 11–11:30 am Eastern time. Pro members can switch from the trading room to the Live Classroom at that time. We’ll also post announcements in the chatrooms when class is about to begin.
Each day will be a different section of the course, and teaching could be from 2-3 hours a day. Since the course material will vary, we do not have an exact end time for each day, but we expect most days the sessions will end by approximately 1–2 pm Eastern time.
The classes scheduled to be taught are approximately 39–45 hours of material, so we are expecting anywhere from 20–30 days of sessions. Classes will be held 4–5 days per week. Since each day the schedule can vary based on market conditions or other factors, we do not have a set end date scheduled for the sessions.
The Starter Course generally takes 5-6 days to teach, and the Pro Course takes about 3-4 weeks to teach.
If you miss a day and want to keep up with the courses as they are taught live, we recommend accessing the current version of the chapter in our education portal. For many of the chapters, the course content will be very similar and allow you to keep pace with the live classes.
We will be recording all of the sessions. The new recordings will take a bit to become available for viewing after the live class.
Please see this guide which keeps track of new additions to our education platform, and will note any uploads from Winter School.
We will let students know via email and announcements in the chatrooms each day what chapters were completed each day and what is scheduled for the following day.
Yes, in a month or so after we wrap up Winter School.
Members who have already started watching the old version of the classes will continue to have access for at least 1 month after new content has been put out. All of the new classes will need to be finalized with quizzes and other learning tools, and this process will take some work after the recordings are complete. Recordings will be posted as soon as possible, and additional resources (such as PDFs, quizzes, and more) will be added along the way to improve the educational experience even more. You can find additional updates here.
For the period while we are teaching these new classes, you will use the quizzes and PDFs in the education portal that are associated with the 2020 version of the courses.
Since it takes some work once we complete teaching and recording the classes to place them in the education portal with quizzes and PDFs, we encourage students to use the 2020 versions of the classes for quizzes and PDFs to enhance the educational experience. Learn how to locate PDFs.
Not to worry! Learning to trade isn’t something that can be accomplished over the course of 5-6 weeks. We encourage everyone to be realistic about the time and effort learning a new skill takes.
The benefits of attending Winter School live are:
- For new students, it is a structured “boot camp” way of taking the classes. Most students do revisit sections, or the whole course, multiple times. There is a lot to learn, and reviewing sections as you build your foundation is a normal part of the learning process.
- For existing students who have taken some or all of the classes, this is a great way to do another round where you’ll find you have different takeaways.
- For those that enjoy learning in a more interactive way, the ability to chat and ask questions live will be enjoyable.
